Jim Papoulis has a distinctive musical style that combines contemporary sounds with musical traditions from around the globe. Traveling worldwide, Papoulis works with international artists and ensembles in order to explore and create a sound for a global community. This multi-cultural sound has become the cornerstone of his works for choirs, orchestras, and ensembles. |

In 1993 Papoulis founded, AMPHION MUSIC, a full-service music production company, specializing in composing and recording original music and orchestrations for films, commercials, dance, and ensembles. Known for high quality, unique compositions, quick turnaround time, capturing the client's core ideas, and personal attention to detail, AMPHION MUSIC has been the voice for hundreds of companies for over twelve years. |

Located in Manhattan, Amphion's state-of-the-art recording studio features the OTARI Radar 48 track, 24-bit recorder; an OTARI 96 input fully automated console, and a complete array of digital samplers and acoustic instruments. For the past five years Papoulis has toured with the SOUNDS OF A BETTER WORLD = small voices calling world-wide concert series, sponsored by Hyatt International Hotels and The Foundation for Small Voices, www.foundationforsmallvoices.org . He has worked with children's choirs in China, South America, Africa, Russia, Europe, and throughout the United States. Papoulis is currently working on the third album, Shadows , in the SOUNDS OF A BETTER WORLD trilogy, featuring The Tokyo String Quartet. |
